If the Alamo Bowl is as wild as this simulation, it'll make history and drive Oregon St. Beavers fans nuts. This was by far the highest scoring, and most video game-like simulation I've come across.
Almost 120 points were scored between the teams, but the game was littered with poor play from the quarterbacks. If Sean Mannion plays this poorly in the Alamo Bowl, Beavers fans will never forgive him. (Note: simulation was done before Cody Vaz was named the starter).
This simulation didn't just paint Mannion in a bad light. The Beavers' defense was just as poor.
Despite jumping out to a huge first quarter lead, the Longhorns came charging back to complete a wild and crazy first half. The Beavers couldn't catch up from there.
As was the case in my previous simulations, the rosters were based on the uploads of BamaBound2010 on the Xbox 360. EA Sports is unable to ship the games with named rosters, but gamers like BamaBound2010 do the honors, uploading them via EA's roster share option.
To them we are most grateful.
The upload was done earlier in the season, so the depth charts and a few ratings needed to be adjusted. Those changes were made, and the difficulty was changed to Heisman to allow each team to play at the highest level.
Apparently, it didn't quite register for the Beavers.
This was the third bowl simulation I've conducted on my YouTube channel. Click here to check out the link to the playlist. I'll be simulating all of the BCS bowl games, and the games listed below that feature major programs.
If the simulation has already been completed, the link to the article and video is listed on the right.
Chick-fil-A Bowl - No. 8 LSU vs. No. 14 Clemson
Capital One Bowl - No. 7 Georgia vs. No. 16 Nebraska
