The Mavericks had a weird evening Friday in that they fell behind by a dozen points in the first six minutes, rallied to tie, dropped 17 points in arrears in the third quarter, closed to within three in the fourth quarter but had too many turnovers and surrendered too many offensive rebounds to complete the comeback.
