After Beginning Career as Walk-On, Jordan Kovacs Eyes NFL

ANN ARBOR -- He doesn't have Taylor Lewan's girth. He doesn't have Denard Robinson's legs. But Michigan safety Jordan Kovacs does have NFL aspirations, just like his more-ballyhooed teammates. The senior captain said this week he doesn't yet know where he will train after the Wolverines' Outback Bowl appearance against South Carolina, but knows he'll vie for a spot on an NFL roster. "Yeah, no doubt," Kovacs said earlier this year. "I'll give it a shot. I'll give it a run. I know I'd regret not giving it a run. But obviously right now, my only concern is Michigan football. "It'll be an exciting time in my life." ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. said recently that Kovacs has a shot to become a late-round pick in April's draft. But it could be a long one...
