Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski has referred to Tyler Thornton's play as "workman-like," meaning the steady junior just comes in and gets the job done. In the No. 1 Blue Devils' 76-54 win over Elon, Duke needed a spark midway through the second half. And Thornton was there to provide it. With Duke holding just a 43-35 lead in a game that lacked an overabundance of offensive energy, Thornton hit back-to-back three-pointers to push the lead back to double digits at 49-35 with 11:43 left in the game. That keyed a Duke spurt that included two Mason Plumlee free throws and a Rasheed Sulaimon three-pointer, and, suddenly, Duke had a 19-point lead.
