Players in the NFL are bigger and faster than ever before. The result of players being bigger, faster and stronger is showing up in the number and severity of injuries to NFL players.

When discussions arise about possibly extended the regular season or expanded the playoffs to include more teams, the first thing that comes to mind is player safety.

Howie Long sat down for Behind the Mic on Bleacher Report to discuss his thoughts on possibly expanding the NFL postseason. Like most people, Long's first concern is the toll that additional games will take on the health of the players.
