Kansas City Chiefs: 2013 NFL Draft Needs

Aaron Nagler@Aaron_NaglerNFL National Lead WriterJanuary 3, 2013

Do the Kansas City Chiefs dare draft a quarterback?

Not that they don't need one, mind you. They desperately do. In fact, you could argue that this is a team that might just be a quarterback away. (OK, and perhaps a better offensive coordinator wouldn't hurt...) Unfortunately, the Chiefs organization has been abysmal at identifying and projecting talent that can make the transition from college to the pros. (Mike Elkins and Matt Blundin anyone?)

The Chiefs have had a bit more success using other teams' castoffs. That may be the direction they are forced to go this offseason, be it free agency or pulling the trigger on a trade.

Matt Miller and I rounded up a bunch of football fans, gave them hats and B/R swag, then headed over to Highland Park here in New York City and tried to figure out where the Chiefs have the most pressing needs heading into the 2013 NFL draft.

Let us know in the comments below where you agree or disagree with our assessments and what other needs we might have missed.
