The Best of Aaron Rodgers' Photobombs

0 of 5

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers might throw a picture-perfect football, and his bombs to the likes of Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson and James Jones have been many since taking over as the starting quarterback in 2007.

But his act of "photo-bombing," or looking inconspicuous but blatantly obvious in the background of a photo, goes all the way back to his rookie season with the Packers in 2006.

Rodgers has photo-bombed every since-captain's picture since the start of the '06 preseason, an act he continues to deliver onto this day.

His latest, a recreation of the popular meme website "Smokin' Jay Cutler" last Sunday in Chicago, might be his best yet.

In the following slides, we'll give you a glimpse at "Smokin' Aaron Rodgers" and the rest of Rodgers' best ever photo bombs.

Smokin' Jay Cutler

If your browser hasn't visited the site "Smokin' Jay Cutler" yet, do yourself a favor and check that out here. While so simple in nature, the sight of Cutler looking apathetic with a cigarette in his mouth is worth a minute of your time.

Rodgers, clever as he is, had a little fun with the idea Sunday. Using smelling salt, Rodgers took a page out of "Smokin' Jay Cutler" and photo-bombed the captain's picture before the Packers' 21-13 win over the Bears Sunday.

The perfect combination of popular culture, props and timing might just make this Rodgers' best photo-bomb yet.

Mocking the Fin

Packers tight end Jermichael Finley is known for a lot of things, both positive and negative. Depending on your views of Finley, his exuberant celebration after a first down catch might be either-or.

After nearly every big catch, Finley rises, struts down the field and waves his one hand on top of his helmet like a fin. It's mostly ridiculous.

Rodgers appears to be mocking Finley's celebration here. To be honest, most of us do the same every time Finley breaks out the crazy celebration.

Yarrr!

At some point, photo-bombing can become stale and overdone.

Insert props, the cure-all for the photo-bombing blues.

In this captain's picture in Week 8 of 2012, Rodgers and backup quarterback Graham Harrell break out the eye patch. Given the proximity to Halloween (Packers beat the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 28), the pirate's patch fits the occasion.

First Time for Everything

Every legend has its humble beginnings, and we see the start of Rodgers' photo-bombing career here during the Packers' first preseason game in 2006.

It's certainly a quiet start, and he does little in terms of faces, props or other clever ideas. And overall, there are questions to be asked about the photo-bombing itself.

Did he do this one on purpose? Or did this one happen by accident, and the tradition was then expanded upon from there? Only Rodgers knows, but we're glad it happened.

Props, Rodgers

Props are limited on an NFL sideline, but Rodgers has certainly taken a liking to Gatorade bottles and cups. Among his many uses of the two have been eyes, phones and simply drinking in the background.

This might be his best Gatorade prop yet.

Two perfectly placed bottles, set next to the heads of both Tim Masthay and Bryan Bulaga, appear to be shooting water directly into the ear of each player. Tramon Williams, on the other hand, does not appear amused.
