UFC Fighters, Britney Palmer Sing the 12 Days of MMA Christmas
The MMA world would like to wish you a merry Christmas, and lucky you, they've decided to send their season's greeting via cliche song parody.
The attached video, which features a dozen MMA personalities, was created by Gamma Labs—if you aren't familiar with the brand, you will be by the end of the video—and recounts The 12 Days of Christmas, but with a little bit of the flavor from the sport you love.
Whether it's two black eyes, three broken ribs, four liver kicks or five guillotines, the performance reminds us that there's more to fighting than the glamour of winning.
There's also Gamma Labs. Gamma Labs under the tree.
Cameos from legendary UFC fighter Chuck Liddell, current stars such as Shane Carwin, Joe Lauzon, Johny Hendricks and Chris Weidman, and popular Octagon-girl Brittney Palmer are sure to put you in the Christmas spirit. I mean, who could watch the video and feel anything but pure joy?
In fact, I recommend watching it repeatedly for an hour or two.
The contents may not be your standard MMA fix, but it will have to hold you over until UFC 155, set for December 29, comes around. The event will continue in the UFC's tradition of ending the year with a bang, relying on a heavyweight title fight between Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez to provide the excitement.
But until then, at least there's this song.
Bravo if you made it through the whole thing.
