Mario Balotelli has ended his dispute with Manchester City and accepted the club's £340,000 fine (via The Independent).
Balotelli, a 22-year-old Italian forward, had drawn the fine for missing 11 matches last season through disciplinary problems. He had appealed to a Premier League tribunal, with the appeal scheduled for Wednesday.
The amount of the fine represents two weeks' wages.
City said in a statement:
After amicable talks between the parties, as a sign of respect for Roberto Mancini, the supporters and the club, Mario Balotelli has chosen to accept a two week fine levied upon him by the club and withdraw his disciplinary appeal, which was due to be heard by a Premier League panel today.
Mario remains available for selection for all forthcoming fixtures.
