The Los Angeles Lakers stole a win at home against the Charlotte Bobcats. You don’t hear that very often.
The Lakers came back from down 18 in the third quarter to pull out a one-point victory at the Staples Center. Los Angeles withstood three Bobcat attempts to win the game, including a Gerald Henderson layup rolling off the rim.
The Bobcats were led by Kemba Walker and his 28 points in 40 minutes, along with Ramon Sessions' 20 points off the bench.

Player of the Game: Dwight Howard
Howard contributed in all facets of the game against Charlotte, finishing with 18 points, 16 rebounds and a timely block.
The play of the game came with the Lakers nursing a one-point lead and Kemba Walker driving to the lane with seven seconds remaining. D-12 gave perfect help defense for Kobe Bryant and blocked Walker’s shot off the backboard to hold the Laker lead.
Charlotte continues their four-game West Coast road trip with a visit to Phoenix on Wednesday. They will be trying to get their first win in December against the Suns.
The Lakers will head to the Oracle to face cross-state rival Golden State, in which will be a matchup with heavy intrigue for the entire Western Conference. That game will tip on Saturday at 10:30 ET.
