Hottest Strikers Linked to Transfers in January Window
There is no hotter commodity in football than a free-scoring forward, and these three men have been scoring for fun in 2012.
Radamel Falcao’s days at Atletico Madrid are surely numbered. The Colombian is in demand and could command a huge fee in the January window. The big question is whether Atletico would countenance selling their best player now, or whether they’ll wait a little while longer.
As for Demba Ba, the Newcastle United striker’s contract has a buy-out clause. Arsenal are one of the clubs said to be interested and—based on this season’s evidence—could sorely use some attacking reinforcement.
Finally, we turn to Swansea’s £2 million sensation, Michu. The Spaniard isn’t a striker in the traditional sense, but his goal-scoring in the Premier League has unsurprisingly piqued the interest of a couple of Europe’s big clubs.
