[Saban] spoke publicly for the first time about one of the more controversial moves of his 2005-06 Dolphin tenure. Of course it’s the Daunte Culpepper versus Drew Brees situation following the 9-7 season in 2005. Things didn’t go so well with Culpepper while Brees went on to win a Super Bowl in New Orleans.
