After England's 5-0 loss to India and their recent loss to the West Indies I am wondering how do we lose with the fire power that we have, batting we have big hitters like Shah, Collingwood, Pietersen, Prior and Mascarenhas. Bowling we have Broad, Anderson, Flintoff and even Mascarenhas.

So why do we still lose so many one day matches with the quality we have. Why can't are team just gel together?  England have won just 3 of their past 12 series.

Is it because of the batting order maybe since we have not hit 300 or more for 16 games now lasting hitting 307 against New Zealand.

If i was to choose the batsmen from 1-8 i would choose 1. Strauss 2. Key 3. Shah 4. Pietersen 5. Collingwood 6. Flintoff 7. Mascarenhas and 8. Foster, who are all capable of hitting big runs.

The bowlers are all able to take wicket as well i would choose, 9. Broad 10. Swann and 11. Anderson.

So why can't England  perform with such a huge amount of talent?  England need to win this series to start getting momentum together in time for the Ashes, so i think Prior and Bopara and Batty should be dropped if England want to improve.
