You don't bring The Nature Boy Ric Flair into the ring and not give him a little drama and action to sink his teeth into. Woooooo!

Loading up the drama was not hard to do. Flair's appearance on Monday Night Raw at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia was a surprise move and it ended a lengthy absence.

Ring announcer Justin Roberts was stoked. He got to break the news to the fans by saying "please welcome back to the WWE, the Nature Boy, Ric Flair."

He then sent out this tweet.

The WWE offered up its own tweet while highlighting the vehicle they used to get him into the ring.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Welcome back to WWE #RAW the #NatureBoy RIC FLAIR!!! #SlammyAwards #SuperstarOfTheYear

Flair presented the fan-voted Superstar of the Year award to John Cena, and Cena promptly said he did not deserve the award and gave it to Flair.

It appeared the two may have to fight over who would be more gracious, but we were all saved from that when CM Punk decided to interrupt the festivities.

So the hobbled Punk starts beating on Flair with his crutch, but you don't just throw a legend like Flair into the ring and let him get beat with medical equipment. He has to get in his shots, and since he is already wrestling, you might as well have him whip out a figure-four leg lock, which he did on Paul Heyman after dispatching of Punk.

Flair then tried to enjoy the moment by addressing the crowd, but The Shield wrecked that. Flair was in trouble and about to be powerbombed by The Shield when Ryback came out and saved the day.

That left Flair to finally enjoy his moment with Ryback and Daniel Bryan at his side to ensure there would be no more interruptions.

This was all great, and it was awesome to see Flair back in the WWE ring. The guy is 63, but he is in amazing shape and he has energy to spare. He is still an elite showman.
