With Nathan, Crain, Guerrier, Breslow, and now likely Luis Ayala all locked into the Opening Day bullpen, the Twins have several pitchers fighting for one spot, possibly two.

When all of the competitors took the mound yesterday, the hope was that maybe there would be some distancing in the race as things draw within one week of a conclusion in Fort Myers. To say the least, that didn't happen.

Humber, Dickey, and Duensing are all fighting for that one spot, and unless Gardenhire changes his mind on taking just 11 pitchers north, it'll be only one of them heading to the Metrodome.

Jose Mijares is technically still in the race, and at the beginning of Spring Training was considered a favorite. But his weight issues and lack of good outings has all but assured him of starting the season with the Red Wings.
