ST. LOUIS -- Vikings receiver Percy Harvin had an emergency appendectomy on Saturday, Dec. 15, not an operation on his sprained ankle, coach Leslie Frazier said.

Harvin tweeted on Saturday that he was having "minor surgery," though he did not reveal the nature of the procedure. The Vikings placed him on injured reserve Dec. 5, and the natural assumption was that his injury had necessitated an operation.
