There are many great wrestlers in the history of pro wrestling.
Here, I have mentioned the ten best wrestlers in the history of pro wrestling not in ranking but in list, some honorable mentions and the future superstars.
If I have missed any great superstars in this list, use the comment box to remind me and I shall think about him.
So, here goes the 10 best wrestlers -
Bret Hart
Bret "The Hitman" Hart is a former pro wrestler who worked in WWE and WCW.
He is two times WCW World Heavyweight champion, five times WWE champion, King of the Ring in 1991 and 1993, Royal Rumble (co)-winner in 1994 and the second Triple Crown champion in WWE.
He is said to be " The Best There Was, The Best There Is and The Best There Ever Will Be". He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2006.
Ric Flair
"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is a record 16 times World Heavyweight champion, Royal Rumble winner in 1992 and the 13th Triple Crown champion in WWE.
He is also the first wrestler in WWE to be inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2008 and to retire few hours after that.
Triple H
"The King of Kings" Triple H is a 5 times world Heavyweight champion, 8 times and current WWE champion, King of the Ring in 1997, Royal Rumble winner in 2002 and the second Grand Slam champion in WWE.
Triple H also holds the record of winning most Elimination Chamber matches.
Shawn Michaels
"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is a three time WWE champion, one time World Heavyweight champion, Royal Rumble winner in 1995 and 1996 and the first Grand Slam champion in WWE.
He was the first wrestler to win all the four major titles(WWE, Intercontinental, Tag team and European championships) in a year.
Innumerable records in WWE are even now held by Shawn Michaels.
Steve Austin
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is 6 times WWE champion, Royal Rumble winner in1997,1998 and 2001, King of the Ring in 1996 and the 5th Triple Crown champion in WWE.
Steve Austin holds the record for winning most Royal Rumble matches in WWE.
Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan is a former WWE superstar who won the WWE championship for six times, Royal Rumble winner in 1990 and 1991 and Hall of Famer in 2005.
It is said that wrestling was created just for him.
The Undertaker
"The Phenom" Undertaker is 4 times WWE champion, 2 times World Heavyweight champion and Royal Rumble winner in 2007.
He also holds the record of longest undefeated streak in the grandest stage of all, Wrestlemania. The streak has stretched up to 16-0 till Wrestlemania XXV.
The Rock
"The People's Champ" Rock is a former WWE wrestler. He is 2 times WCW champion, 7 times WWE champion, Royal Rumble winner in 2000 and 6th Triple Crown champion in WWE.
He is also a professional actor.
Mick Foley
"The Hardcore Legend" Mick Foley is a former WWE and ECW superstar and current TNA performer. He is 3 times WWE champion.
There is no other wrestler in pro wrestling who has got more severe injuries than Foley
The Ultimate Warrior
Ultimate Warrior is a former WWE and WCW superstar who is a former 4-time World champion and 2-time WWE Intercontinental champion.
He was the first man in WWE to defeat Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania.
Honorable Mentions
Some of the honorable mentions are: Sting, Kurt Angle, Ted Dibiase Sr., Yokozuna, Kevin Nash, Dusty Rhodes, Andre the Giant, Ricky Steamboat, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, Randy Savage etc.
They have achieved the highest status in pro wrestling by their glorious performances.
