Worry ye not, people of New York. Breathe out that sigh of relief. I find it inconceivable that TO, if healthy, will have nothing less than a Pro Bowl-caliber season in 2009.

Why so confident? It's because of the size of Terell Owens's ego. Seriously, this guy could play in Lapland next year, for $30 a game, being marked by Reindeer, and he'd have a Pro Bowl season. His ego will allow nothing less.

For all his problems, his desire to humiliate rival teams, ex-teams, ex-teammates, ex-managers, is unsurpassed. He only suffers when he runs out of people to "prove wrong," which is historically followed by a slump, a tantrum, and a messy exit.

I think it's a smart deal. The Bills have him on a tight leash with the one-year deal. If he has a stinker, again, he's potentially finished at the top end of the wide-receiver market.

Financially, he'll be looking for Isaac Bruce pay checks, rather than the Randy Moss figures he attracts at the minute.

Either greed or ego will keep him firing in 2009.

Get your popcorn ready.
