Despite being a poorly booked pay-per-view event, Tables, Ladders and Chairs has the potential to set the WWE Universe abuzz with its two top matches: The Shield vs Ryback and Team Hell No and John Cena vs Dolph Ziggler for the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Both of these matches have the potential of being highly entertaining matches, but which of these will be TLC's main event match?
John Cena is known as the WWE's main event guy, but in terms of this year's TLC pay-per-view, his storyline with Dolph Ziggler appears to be second tier in comparison to the hotter Shield storyline. Will Cena step back to a secondary role and allow up-and-comers Ryback and the Shield to take the night's spotlight? Or will he continue is imposing role on the card and steal the top spot?
In many ways, Cena's role at the top of the card is both a bad thing and a good thing. While it would in slightly bury Ryback, who has been in the main event of the past two WWE pay-per-view events, it may also benefit rising star Dolph Ziggler.
Dolph Ziggler's victory against John Cena at the TLC main event would propel Zigger to new heights, but this will only happen if Cena is willing to job for the former Spirit Squad member.
The success of tonight's pay-per-view depends on John Cena. Could this be the night when he finally passes the torch to the WWE's younger superstars? Will he take a lower spot on the night's card? Will he put his ego aside and lose to Ziggler? Or will tonight be a repeat of the "dominant" Cena that we have seen for the past 10 years?
