Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis
The New Orleans Saints beat their division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers 41-0 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome today on Fox.
Both teams were coming off of tough losses, but there was only one team to show up in this matchup, and that was the home team.
The Saints played their most complete game of the year, and it showed despite putting two starters on injured reserve earlier in the week.
This win keeps New Orleans' very dim playoff hopes alive, but, hopefully, it builds more on the 2013 campaign than the present.
Game over. The first shutout for the Saints since 1995 against the New York Jets. Anybody else think the defense isn't carrying this team lately?
Two minutes left and this game is over. The Saints will improve to 6-8 on the year, and, mathematically, are still in the playoff hunt.
New Orleans has Dallas and Carolina to close out the year, and it's not unconceivable for the Saints to finish 8-8.
The only thing left is the shutout, and fans are still in the stands wanting that.
Another touchdown and the Saints are now up 41-0. Mark Ingram with an 11-yard run that was well earned.
Cameron Jordan adding the icing on the cake with a nice strip sack of Josh Freeman. Jordan will be a Pro Bowler very soon.
With eight minutes left to play, the Saints are just going to get some young guys experience and keep the big plays in front of them with a prevent-style zone.
FIELD GOAL: Garrett Hartley hits a 36-yarder to extend the Saints/Bucs score to 34-0.
Another Buccaneer drive and another interception for Josh Freeman. Jabari Greer with his second of the day.

The Saints hold the Buccaneers on fourth down, again. The shutout is intact... for now. Time to take Drew Brees out!
The Saints stalled out on their last drive. They are starting to work their backups into their game, especially, after that last Brees' touchdown pass. The defense is back on the field now. Elbert Mack just went out with cramps.
Big stop on 3rd-and-15 leads to an incompleted pass on fourth down. Saints defense has been outstanding today.
The Saints are in a prevent defense with a thirty point lead, and Tampa Bay is very slowly going down the field. Big third down after a holding penalty on TB.
TOUCHDOWN! Saints! Again. It looks like this game will be a Touchdown/Interception fest for New Orleans. 34-yard touchdown pass to Joe Morgan was amazing.
Mark Ingram is looking very good today. He is running with even more of a purpose than he has in recent weeks.
INTERCEPTION! Again. Isa Abdul-Quddus joins the pick party. Freeman had plenty of time on that throw and it's picked.
Fake punt gives the Buccaneers new life on their opening drive of the second half for Tampa.
TOUCHDOWN....SAINTS! After Greg Schiano strikes again before the half with his defense "delaying" Drew Brees. He hits one of his favorite players, Lance Moore, on a quick pass.
Sproles with a great return to give this offense a chance to pad their lead.
That was an awful series right there for the offense before the half.
It's amazing how good the Saints can be when their offense and defense come together. It's like night and day.
TOUCHDOWN! Brees-to--Sproles on Darren's bread and butter route. 17-0 lead. Saints are taking advantage of turnovers.
The Saints offensive line is having it's troubles with Gerald McCoy and DaQuan Bowers, but great throw by Brees.
Buccaneer player fighting with Bryan Cox, the team's linebacker coach. Frustration is building on that sideline.
Interception! There's a R. Bush actually doing things for New Orleans! Stop the presses! Long return sets up the Saints to possibly add to their lead before halftime.
The Saints fizzle out inside of the five-yard line and settle for a field goal. 10-0 Saints over Bucs.
