Dear Bleacher Report,
I, along with many other people, was really hoping to win a free Bleacher Report T-Shirt.
I picked the St. Joseph’s Hawks for my entry into the Bracketbreaker Challenge. I was wishing for a couple of upsets, and in the end an awesome Bleacher Report T-Shirt. But unfortunately for me, the Hawks lost in their first round game to Oklahoma, 72-64.
As I sat watching the game slip away from the Hawks, I was very disappointed. Not because I am a St. Joseph’s fan, but because I wouldn’t be able to have a Bleacher Report shirt.
I was sad, but not shocked. In my opinion picking St. Joe’s was a sort of a stretch but I wanted to go with a team that could win and also a team that I liked.
Writing about a team such as Villanova or Davidson seemed to be a popular and obviously a smart choice. Those writers that picked these teams made a smart bet. They will be receiving their free T-Shirt in the mail within the next couple of weeks.
According to Trey Bradley’s article titled Bracketbreaker Challenge: The Entries, only 18 people chose either Villanova, Davidson, or West Virginia. Which means only 18 people will receive a free T-Shirt.
This is my wish for Bleacher Report…
Please make these T-Shirts available to the other writers! Now don’t get me wrong here. I do not want a FREE shirt, but I would be willing to pay for a Bleacher Report shirt.
This website is an awesome opportunity for people like me to not only practice their sports-writing skills, but it also gives people a free opportunity to get noticed and recognized. This Web site has been a great tool for me to become a better writer for not only my school newspaper, but also for (hopefully) my future profession.
For me, a T-Shirt that represents Bleacher Report would be great. I would like to give recognition to an amazing Web site that has some great writers and also a lot of non-writers that just read the articles.
By wearing the T-Shirt, I would be able to give free advertising for the Web site. What better way for a company on a budget to get noticed than to have a bunch of people walking around with their Web site’s name on it?
Bleacher Report would be smart to make these T-Shirts available to the public!
Trust me, they would be a big seller!
Thanks,
Jake Widowski

Jake -
Thanks for the letter. We made a limited run of shirts for this contest, but if there is popular demand (and you and Tim certainly seem to be starting the trend), then we just may have to print up some more and start making them available. We'll keep you posted.
On another note, sorry that St. Joseph's got bounced but hope you enjoy the rest of the Tournament.

I would definitely rock a Bleacher Report t-shirt. Good idea.

The people have spoken, Dave. We need t-shirts. This outpouring of support proves it.
Seriously, get the Bleacher Report Store page running...
I would totally rock a BR wife beater. I'm just sayin; the possibilities are endless.

Amen. Unlike Dave and Tim, I am unable to "rock" any bit of clothing. However, I would be willing to let the t-shirt "rock" me, which if it contains some of the underlying awesomeness of the bleacher report, it most certainly will.

Alright, Ben. Prepare to be rocked.
from about 1 month ago
Does that mean it's going to happen Dave?

Give us some time to figure out the logistics, but we'll definitely make it happen.

Can we have departmental shirts? Like Bleacher Report - EPL on the back?
That would be awesome!

Cool idea, Simon, but that might have to wait for "Bleacher Report: The T-Shirt—The Sequel". Hope you can make do with an original issue BR shirt to start out with.

Sounds great to me! A Bleacher Report T-Shirt is better than...well, any of the T-shirts you can get from Pri**** at any rate!

Give 'em a shirt...

Awesome idea, I'm with you Jake. I'd buy one.

I'm down 4 a shirt.......Let's go for it.

I, like Ben, do not "rock" but I would be "down" with a BR shirt.

I am definitely in on the t-shirts, the sole purpose i write for this site is as a portfolio for journalism so a t-shirt would be an amazing idea!

this is an amazing idea, i would undoubtedly buy one

Why stop at t-shirts? Let's evolve the BR Line to include the hoodie, the Muscle-T, the doo-rag, and for the ladies maybe a lovely visor?

Could "Bleacher Report: The Lunchbox" be far behind?
from about 1 month ago
I love the idea!
Dave—please no Bleacher Report pink jerseys! For the love of goddess, say no to pink jerseys!

HAHAHAHHA AMAZING

Expanding on Simon's idea:
What about having shirts that say like "analyst" or "columnist" on them? That would be pretty sweet!

Touché, Bruce!

I'm in. I mean I only joined it for the free t-shirt and all. But I was pretty upset in the end when Brook Lopez hit that shot.
I would buy one anyway.

how 'bout we put "bleacher report" on the front and slap a nice big picture of the Fonz on the back with lettering that says, "when you're this cool, they're after you"
of course I would buy the lunch box too...
from about 1 month ago
i'm buying, that simple...probably doesn't even matter what you end up making, t-shirt, lunchbox, coloring book, i'll buy it.

I want a Bleacher Report flash drive.

umm i'll definitely sport a bleacher report tee, to chime in with the general consensus.
what I'd really really like to see is commericals for BR.. commericals like sportscenter.. and the t shirts can even say "this is bleacher report"
haha sorry i'm wrapped up in my daydream of one day being in a sportscenter commerical.. ignore me..
