Washington Redskins vs. Cleveland Browns: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis
Collectively, the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns have won seven straight games. While the Redskins have gained media attention nationwide with the play of their rookie quarterback, Robert Griffin III, the Browns have quietly rebounded from a poor start and are gaining respect around the league.
The biggest story of today’s game is the health of Robert Griffin III’s knee. He took an ugly hit from Baltimore’s Haloti Ngata last Sunday, and head coach Mike Shanahan has kept this one a secret.
If Griffin has to sit out today, the Redskins will turn to their other rookie quarterback, Kirk Cousins, who led a come-from-behind victory last week.
The Browns will certainly be monitoring this as much as possible, as their defensive strategy depends on who is behind center.
The game will be televised on Fox at 1 p.m. ET.
It was a tale of two halves in Cleveland today. Going into halftime, the Browns were in control, but the Redskins made the necessary adjustments in the second half and outscored Cleveland 28-7.
Based off of this game, the Kirk Cousins debate can be squashed, as the rookie had one of the most impressive performances of the season.
