WWE's TLC is sure to be one of the most anticipated wrestling pay-per-view events in recent memory, as this weekend's card features a plethora of top-notch stars and several must-see matchups.
From a pair of excellent championship singles matches to a handful of gimmick matches pitting current superstars against soon-to-be stars, TLC from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn has everything you could want in a WWE PPV.
But here we'll focus on Sunday night's marquee clashes and pick a winner for each.
Big Show vs. Sheamus
Although Big Show vs. Sheamus has "Match of the Night" potential, I can only see this showdown ending up one way, with Show coming away victorious as the World Heavyweight Champion.
Sheamus has had his lengthy reign atop the WWE's heavyweight division, and in a chairs match, Show is sure to wreak more havoc on his smaller opponent. It won't be one-sided, however, considering the two have created a decent, back-and-forth feud recently.
But no matter how much damage Sheamus inflicts, expect Show to emerge from this marquee clash with his championship intact. It's too soon for the challenger to return to the top.
Prediction: Big Show
John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler
TLC's epic ladder match is sure to provide Dolph Ziggler with the biggest breakthrough victory of his WWE career thus far. He's on the verge of becoming a superstar, and a win over John Cena at TLC will all but ensure that he reaches the next level.
If this match was the card's main event, I and many others would feel differently about Ziggler's chances of course. But given that it's coming in slightly under the radar and what's on the line—Ziggler's World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank contract—expect him to propel past Cena.
Cena has had his time, and he will have plenty of more chances down the road, but if Ziggler doesn't take the next step now, when will he?
Prediction: Dolph Ziggler
Team Hell No and Ryback vs. The Shield
The Shield are on the rise and destined for a victory in Sunday's Tables, Ladders and Chairs event. Of course, fans can expect Ryback to be dominant throughout, perhaps even casting doubt over the match at times.
Still, there's only one way this marquee showdown can finish, and that's with The Shield earning a pinfall win over Team Hell No's Daniel Bryan. After all , he's the perfect man to take the fall. Bryan going down would allow The Shield to come away with a star-building win while at the same time preserving Ryback's star power.
If this match were to take place down the road we might be in store for a less predictable outcome, but almost everyone inside the Barclays Center on Sunday night will be expecting Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns to outlast Team Hell No and Ryback.
Prediction: The Shield
