Chelsea 0-1 Corinthians
70' Paolo Guerrero
Chelsea fell to Brazilian side Corinthians in Japan to reliquish their third trophy chance this year.
The game was delicately poised in a skirmish-like 0-0 situation, and Paolo Guerrero was the man to break the deadlock.
His looping header caught Petr Cech and co. out as it sailed in via the underside of the crossbar, leaving the Timao to see out a tense, but typical, 1-0 win.
Fernando Torres had a golden chance to equalise in the closing minutes but fired straight at goalkeeper Cassio from six yards.
Thanks for joining us this morning. You're committed to football at this early hour!
A careful game exploded into life in the final 10 minutes, and we still don't know why Cahill got a red card!

FULL TIME
Corinthians beat Chelsea 1-0 to lift the CWC!
In the last few seconds, Mata hit the post from an acute angle!
More on that
Torres was offside the entire time as Oscar chips in a wonderful ball and the Spaniard knocks it past a roaming Cassio.
90+2'—GOAL DISALLOWED!
Torres has it in the net but he's offside!
Four minutes of added time
More on the red
The referee has, quite literally, putin the most lenient display the world has ever seen, but bucks the trend with a red card for the Cahill.
Still waiting to see what on earth it was for. Seems like an off-the-ball incident.

RED CARD! GARY CAHILL!
88'—Oscar finds himself free in the area but chests a long, looping ball down poorly and it's cleared.
Chelsea really pushing here, as Marin comes on for Hazard
84'—WHAT A CHANCE!
Torres does TWO maradona turns in the box, but loses the ball. Azpilicueta chucks in a throw and the ball falls to the Spaniard 8 yards out and he fires it straight at the 'keeper!
The woes continue!
80'—Chelsea settling on the ball but Corinthians dropping into a decent shape and stifling opportunities.
This looks, for now, like a classic, tight 1-0 win for the South American champions.
77'—Messy defending from Chelsea now and they look a little all over the place.
Space is opening up (finally) as the Blues try to find a goal and Corinthians take advantage.
What were the three Chelsea players doing running to the line instead of attacking the ball? Poor defending. #bbcfootball

An alternate view on the goal:
Guerrero heads in after good work by Paulinho, Chelsea behind. The stadium erupts with noise from the 1000s of travelling Corinthians fans!

Update
Oscar is on, David Luiz is booked.
More on the goal
This was a little messy, but we don't care.
Good intricate play sees Paulinho enter the box but overrun the ball, Danilo comes inside from the left, dummies and shoots. The ball is blocked, loops up into the air with Cech off his line, and Guerrero rises highest to head the ball into the net!
GOAL! CORINTHIANS SCORE!
66'—Torres has just been absolutely mugged in his own half. Sums it up for him. Needs to be substituted.

63'—Chance for Corinthians!
Paulinho takes the superb knock down by Guerrero and smashes it in from inside the box, but it fizzes just wide right of the goal.
That was promising play.
61'—Paulinho is the latest to surge forward and pressurise the Chelsea defence as Corinthians start to take a hold of this game. It really does need a goal, though.
58'—Of the two strikers on the pitch, Guerrero has been by far the better option.
He looks positive going forward and loves entering the box, showing confidence Torres yearns for.
Torres is no center forward. And he might be the worst player on the pitch. #cfc

53'—Chance for Chelsea!
Wonderful through-ball from Mata to find Hazard running in behind. He closes in on goal and the goalkeeper Cassio produces his second superb save of the night!
50'—Chance for Chelsea!
Cole does well on the left to rescue a lost cause. Cuts it into Mata inside the area, who finds Lampard on the edge of the box.
The shot is charged down and blocked immediately!
47'—Slow tempo to begin the game but the feisty nature is still there. Ivanovic the latest to go to ground at will.
45'—We're off! Second half underway!
