Sports stars are notorious for speaking their minds, and in the age of Twitter, that can be a problem. Between talking nonsense or just being generally offensive, more often than not they should keep their thoughts to themselves.

Whether it's pitcher Brandon McCarthy's indecent proposal, Metta World Peace's ramblings or Stephon Marbury eating Vaseline, one thing is for sure, athletes should leave the tweeting to the PR people.
