Gary Busey goes nuts for Champs Sports, and we have a feeling this was a good idea.
If there is a better spokesman for your sporting goods store, we would like to hear it. As for me, I can't get enough of the man who played Angelo Pappas in Point Break.
"Utah, two. Get me two."
The goal in any commercial is to quickly get into the mind of the viewer and convince them of your product. Enter Gary Busey.
I will never forget this commercial, taking it with me like the 30 pounds I gained in college, destined to linger with me for eternity.
He saunters into the screen like he owns the place, showing off some magnificent Nike t-shirts while sports images are inter cut. Just try and forget this video. I dare you.
He barrels over you like the baseball player who destroys the catcher at the plate in this marvelous ad.
Oh, and don't sweat his swag, because that just means you don't have any of your own. Truer words may have been spoken, but they hardly matter as much.
Busey definitely has his own swagger, and he uses every last drop to get you to a Champs Sports location. Not only did he succeed, but that's pretty much all I can think of at the moment.
Gary Busey continues to be awesome.
