NC State's Brandon Costner is going to skip his senior season and put his name into the 2009 NBA Draft, looking to fulfill his dream of playing in the NBA.
Costner is a 6'9", 230-pound power forward that has skills, but sometimes doesn't use them effectively.
This year, he averaged 13.3 points, and six rebounds per game for the Wolfpack. This is going to hurt NC State next season, and the only way they will be around .500 is if John Wall, a great freshman guard, comes to State.
He will most likely go in the early second round, as he is a good player who picked a bad year to go pro.
He was a McDonald's High School All-American for the 2005 year and had a promising freshman campaign, when he averaged 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
The rumors of Costner turning pro started after the NCAA Tournament began, and on Monday he made it official.
He was the face of the program over the last couple of years, and he will be remembered as a great player.
