Jerome "the bus" Bettis is a Pittsburgh Steelers legend. He is a Hall of Fame candidate.

For Notre Dame fans, he's also legendary. He was the 10th overall pick out of Notre Dame in the 1993 NFL draft. He barreled over defenders and proved that the wheels on the bus indeed keep going round and round.

Notre Dame fans may remember him as the first player that Lou Holtz allowed to tape his shoes and ankles outside of his cleats.

Bleacher Report met up with Bettis, and he really thinks that Notre Dame has a chance of beating Alabama. Yes, the Crimson Tide average over five yards a rush and have 35 touchdowns on the ground. But Bettis firmly believes that the Notre Dame front seven is among the best in the country.

Everyone hears of Manti Te'o, but the Fighting Irish have such studs as Stephan Truitt and Louis Nix III who are also impact players.

Check out the video above where Jerome Bettis gives his take on how the Fighting Irish can beat the Crimson Tide in the national championship game.
