10 Feb 1996: Guard Bobby Jackson #24 of the Minnesota Golden Gophers takes the ball to the defense of the Northwestern Wildcats at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Illinois. Minnesota defeated Northwestern 66-47.

The Sacramento Kings' Bobby Jackson will undergo surgery to repair a broken cheekbone.

Jackson broke his left cheekbone late in the Kings' overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. The team announced Monday he would need surgery.

The Kings say Jackson's playing status for the rest of the season will be determined after the procedure Friday at UC Davis Medical Center.

Jackson is averaging 7.4 PPG, and has provided a veteran presence to the young team.

The Kings have the worst record in the NBA at 14-52.
