Winners of three straight, the Jazz needed some late-game heroics from Mo Williams to extend that streak.
And the 6'1" Williams delivered with an on-target dagger from deep over the outstretched arms of the 6'6" Danny Green.
Utah appeared to have enough time to get something going toward the basket. With the game tied at 96, they only needed a two to win.
But Williams had other ideas, even if it wasn't his best basketball decision:
Literally no one on Earth besides Mo Williams though that was a good shot besides him and he nailed it.— Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) December 13, 2012
Sometimes, it's better to be lucky than good.
Of course, the thing about luck is that it brings no guarantees:
Jazz are going to go back to that shot down 0-2 in Utah in five months and will be so confused with the result.— Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) December 13, 2012
It may not be a winning method for the Jazz going forward, but it worked on this night, as Utah outlasted San Antonio, 99-96, for the win.
