Ross Pearson and George Sotiropoulos have been out of lightweight competition for quite some time. Coaching The Ultimate Fighter: Smashes delayed the 155-pound return of both fighters. But the time has finally come for Pearson and Sotiropoulos to show they are still potential threats in the lightweight division.
In addition to the main event between the reality series coaches, Friday's event will also feature the finals of the season's lightweight and welterweight tournaments. At 170 pounds, Robert Whittaker will meet Brad Scott, while fellow Brits Colin Fletcher and Norman Parke will compete in the 155-pound finals.
Furthermore, Hector Lombard will try to bounce back from a disappointing UFC debut by defeating Rousimar Palhares in the fourth bout on the UFC on FX 6 main card.
Former featherweight title challenger Chad Mendes will also appear at the event, as he attempts to climb the 145-pound ranks and earn another shot at the belt.
Before Saturday's event, which will take place at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gold Coast, Australia, the fighters will hit the scales on Friday at 10 p.m. ET. Video of the weigh-ins will be streamed live on the above video player.
After the weigh-ins, stay tuned to Bleacher Report for all the latest on UFC on FX 6 and the rest of your MMA needs.
