The New Orleans Hornets took the Oklahoma City Thunder down to the wire Wednesday night, but Kevin Durant's team managed to get the job done, 92-88.

Durant led the way with 35 points and nine rebounds, and he received help from Russell Westbrook and Kevin Martin as well. Westbrook's 14-point, nine-assist night helped keep the Thunder's offense moving while Martin's 17 bench points provided a spark.

The Hornets received double-digit efforts from Ryan Anderson and Austin Rivers, but no other starter cleared 10 points. Anthony Davis and Brian Roberts each contributed 10-plus points off the bench, but the team just didn't have enough to get it done late.

Oklahoma City struggled to get its offense going at times Wednesday night, but a win is a win.

Player of the Game: Kevin Durant

Durant's 35-point night shouldn't come as a surprise, but it still carries his team when they really needed him too.

Durant is playing perhaps the best all-around basketball of his career. He's rebounding well, shown by his nine rebounds here, and he's playing solid defense as well.

If he keeps it up, an NBA MVP could be in his future.
