Houston Rockets star forward, Carl Landry, continues to recover from a gunshot wound to his left leg he suffered earlier this month as a result of an attempted mistaken retaliation near his home in downtown Houston. Landry, his mom and several of his advisors have been working on relocating him to a home away from the area in which this unfortunate incident took place. Sources have also reported that Landry recently lost an uncle back in his hometown of Milwaukee, WI, and will return for a short period to attend his funeral. To say the least, this has been an emotionally tough two weeks for Landry and his family. Landry will miss the rest of the regular season and will hopefully be back on the court for the playoffs as Houston solidified their first place status with an 87-85 win over the San Antonio Spurs last week and a number 2 seed in the Western Conference.
Landry is in his second season with the Rockets and played in Monday's night win over the New Orleans Hornets. Landry has averaged 9.3 points and 5 rebounds per game.
