The New York Knicks (16-5) came from 17 down to beat the 11-9 Brooklyn Nets, 100-97, in Brooklyn on Tuesday night.
Jason Kidd drilled a three with 24 seconds left, and that proved to be the game winner, but it was Carmelo Anthony who was the Knicks' hero.
'Melo scored a season-high 45 points as he helped the Knicks survive a slow start. Brooklyn carried a 30-16 lead into the start of the second quarter, but New York outscored their rival 33-23 in that quarter to narrow the gap.
The outcome has to hurt the sinking Nets as it was their fifth straight loss.
