Joe Flacco's "elite" status has been in question ever since he opened his mouth and proclaimed himself as one of the best in the league.

In this postseason, there is no denying how elite Flacco's performance has been, as he has gotten himself and the Baltimore Ravens into the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, Colin Kaepernick has been on a roll ever since taking over the starting job from the San Francisco 49ers' incumbent starter, Alex Smith.

Kaepernick was great against Green Bay and downright resolvent against the Falcons, overcoming a 17-point deficit in the first half to edge Atlanta 28-24 in the NFC Championship Game.

Both guys have their own playing styles—Flacco with his arm downfield and Kaepernick as the dual-threat option—and exude confidence in different manners, but they are both Super Bowl quarterbacks.
