Bingham Star Hayden Weichers Chooses USU over BYU

SOUTH JORDAN — Utah State coach Gary Andersen is building a quality program up in Logan and top local recruits have noticed. Andersen and his staff recently convinced Bingham High star Hayden Weichers to forgo his BYU commitment and sign on as an Aggie.
"It's a great opportunity for me to play immediately and I feel Utah State is a better fit for me," Weichers said. "I love coach Andersen and I love everything Utah State has to offer. I weighed all the pros and cons of BYU and Utah State and just decided Utah State was the better place for me."
Weichers is a 6-foot, 180-pound receiver prospect who will likely play at slot receiver for the Aggies. At Utah State, he'll have the opportunity to play right out of high school instead of having to wait at least two years for a scholarship...
