Freshman receiver Gehrig Dieter is seeking a transfer from SMU, primarily because of lack of playing time.

As senior at Washington High School in South Bend, Ind., Dieter was a Parade All-American who set national records for yards in a game (437) and yards per catch (26.9). In his first season at SMU, he cracked the starting lineup after an injury to Darius Johnson but played only sparingly after dropping a pass against TCU. He finished with 10 catches for 168 yards and one touchdown.
