Iman Shumpert Paints Knicks as Unstoppable in Braggadocious Anthem
The New York Knicks are on top of the basketball world, and it will surely stay that way. At least, that's what you should take away from this rather boastful anthem from second-year Knicks guard Iman Shumpert.
The 22-year-old has yet to log a single minute of playing time this season due to a torn ACL, but his injury did not prevent from recording this braggadocious track. Even with Shumpert sidelined, New York has gotten off the a great start, and is currently first in the Eastern Conference with a 15-5 record.
Needless to say, happy days have descended upon Manhattan.
Knicks fans who have followed the team closely may be more careful in their praise than Shumpert. Nonetheless, we sing this praise loudly, because you never know when the next losing streak will arise.
This anthem has it all, if you consider incessant "Knicks" chants as all-encompassing. As for lyrics, we have to hand it to the smooth-talking Shumpert, who makes his way through the better part of the team's roster.
From Melo to Tyson to J.R. Smith, Shumpert shouts out the names of all your favorite Knickerbockers in case you haven't been following along.
This may well be their year, as everything is going right for the Knicks at this point. Well, on the court at least—behind the mic is a different story.
While the anthem is a tad premature, this team is unstoppable.
Just ask Shumpert.
