In the latest rumor linking PSG with one of the world's top players, is reporting Wesley Sneijder will join the Paris club from Inter Milan. The move will reportedly be completed in January once the transfer window reopens.

Sneijder has been embroiled in a contract dispute at Inter Milan, which has seen his time on the pitch severely diminished this season.

With PSG's financial backing, they will have no problem meeting the midfielder's wages. With Inter looking to reduce payroll PSG may be able to land the talented Dutch playmaker for a reduced transfer fee.

If PSG are able to secure Sneijder, it will be the fifth player from Serie A they have signed in transfers since the beginning of the summer. General manager Leonardo's familiarity with the players in Italy has led to great success in bringing targets to Paris.

Sneijder's presence in the PSG lineup would add another talented attack-minded player. His tremendous abilities would augment any attack.

The former Real Madrid man is very strong on the ball, and has a deserved reputation as a set piece specialist. What makes him one of the top midfielders in the world is his ability to use both feet with equal efficiency.

Being equally adept with both feet bears the most fruit in his pinpoint passing. Sneijder does not have to get the ball on his preferred foot to make the defence-splitting pass.

Adding Sneijder's technical precision to the clinical finishing ability of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a deadly combination. Sneijder will also create consistent opportunities for the constantly moving Ezequiel Lavezzi and Jeremy Menez.

Perhaps the most interesting effect will be the pairing Sneijder with the gifted Javier Pastore. The combination play the pair would be capable of could be a treat to watch if they can find some chemistry.

While adding a player of Sneijder's caliber has plenty of positives, it raises some questions as well.

The first is, with the abundance of high-caliber players in the attack, what formation will Ancelotti to employ to maximize the talent?

PSG will also have several selection choices to make. If Sneijder does arrive in January, he will be joining Lucas Moura and potentially a defender as new additions. Moura is another offensive threat while an added defender may see Maxwell and/or Gregory Van der Weil spend more time in the midfield.

Add those options to the likes of Thiago Motta, Baliase Matuidi, Pastore, and young talents Marco Verratti and Adrien Rabiot and PSG have too few spots on the pitch to satisfy everyone. A loan spell for Rabiot could be an option to not impede his development.

Even with some of the questions, the addition of Sneijder would be a good move for PSG. Sneijder is one of the game's premier talents and when the opportunity to land such a player is there, the team needs to take it.

PSG will more then likely need to stave off interest from Manchester United and especially Manchester City to secure Sneijder. If the Dutch maestro makes Paris his home, PSG fans will have a happy beginning to the new year.
