The Warriors’ Saturday night match-up against the Wizards was a classic “trap” game. The Warriors surged to an emotional win the night before in Brooklyn. The Wizards are the worst team in the NBA. In the middle of a long road trip, it would be easy to take this game for granted. Up until the last seconds, it looked like the trap still might be sprung. But when Bradley Beal missed a gimme, Warriors fans collectively exhaled. The 101-97 win was closer than it should have been, but the fact that it was a win at all shows modest growth.
