Fulltime!
That's it! Barcelona and Lionel Messi set more records as Betis are unable to win a point in Sevilla.
The Betis supporters stay and cheer their team on after the whistle to show their happiness with a solid performance against La Blaugrana.
93'—Final chance for Betis
Los Beticos win a corner with almost no time left and even Adrian makes his way to the box.
The ball is sent in and does threaten, but Javier Molina's shot is sent wide/
88'—Big trouble for the Andalusians now as Messi is brought down in great range for a shot on goal.
It is Xavi who takes the free kick and his effort is too high and goes over the bar without really troubling Adrian in goal.
83'—He only just came on, but Thiago makes an immediate impact by taking the ball on the left side of Adrian's box and sending a perfect ball to Messi in traffic.
The new record-holder does very well to control the ball and send a shot at goal, but Adrian dives to parry the ball away.
The ball falls right to Jordi Alba who has loads of space to score, but the full-back sends a wild shot into the post and keeps the game within reach for the Sevillans.
82'—Barcelona Sub
Thiago will play the final 10 minutes here as Tito Vilanova elects to bring on a second recently fit player.
The Brazilian-born midfielder takes Pedro's place as Vilanova aims to slow the Betis attack down a bit with a more manageable tempo.
80'—Pique continues his great performance with a clutch tackle that probably prevented Ruben Castro from scoring.
Immediately after that clearance, Barcelona are once again bailed out by the pose after a great volleyed effort from Pozuelo.
77'—Adrian saves the game against Pedro with a fine save to deny the winger.

Pedro's goalless streak now stands at 18 games. Adrian did well this time, but Pedro could also have done better.
Pique clearly getting back to form. He's been solid, without him Barcelona might have allowed at least one more.

74'—Betis Sub
Pozuelo comes on for Sevilla as Pepe Mel looks to keep the attack threatening with some more rested legs ready to press Barca in the final 15 minutes.
70'—Another nervy moment from Valdes as the Barcelona almost gives Betis a free goal after misreading the ball on a corner kick.
The effort bends around Valdes and hits the post, but fortunately (for him) bounces right to his hands.
Betis will try yo test the keeper as often as possible with the play being so poor (or at least uneasy) from Valdes.
Some fans are able to look more relevantly at this game than Messi record.
If Valencia, Sevilla, etc don't pick it up soon, it could be Betis in the CL next year.

65'—Betis are still playing the counter, but are giving Barca a lot more space around midfield.
Benat makes a brilliant run at goal, but the pass from about 40 yards out is just too long and nothing comes of the solid chance.
60'—Alexis Sanchez wastes a good chance to score as he runs into the box, has space to shoot, struggles to keep close control, and elects to take a flamboyant dive in the end.
58'—Betis are really battling and testing the Barca defense consistently.
There is a lot of space at the back with Masherano and Pique failing to fill holes well enough and it seems inevitable that a second goal will come..
Horrible play by Valdes, rolls onto Castro's ankle afterwards, looks bad

Those two Messi goals won't count for anything if Barca don't stay calm and get in control here

Missed Sub
Apologies, but I missed a sub that was made at halftime.
Jorge Molina came on for Campbell at halftime.
51'—Barcelona are a bit lucky here!
Sevilla sends a ball into the box and Victor Valdes makes a big mistake by trying and failing to clear the ball over the post.
Ruben Castro quickly pounces and gets inches away from leveling the score, but Valdes falls on the ball just in time.
The keeper accidentally knocked Castro off the ball and the Spanish striker has to leave the pitch to get treatment.
The save to prevent Sevilla's shot from going in was nice, but the handling was poor.

Bad news coming out of Barcelona as it looks like Cesc Fabregas will be out for a while longer than it seemed initially when he went down.
Cesc sidelined three to four weeks with muscle injury insidespanishfootball.com/cesc-sidelined…

Official: Puyol has thigh muscle discomfort, he is subbed off out of precaution #fcblive
— barcastuff (@barcastuff) December 9, 2012
Carles Puyol has been subbed off and Javier Mascherano has taken his place.
Vilanova now has only one sub left in the game.
And we're back!
What will be the story of the second half in Sevilla? Lionel Messi earning a hat trick or Real Betis winning at least a point?
