With December well under way, a number of NBA teams have finally figured out what they have, what they need and what they must do to succeed this season and into the future.

Because of these revelations, there has been a ton of buzz about potential trades and transactions that could very well reshape the landscape of the league in the near future.

Let’s take a look at a few of the latest rumblings concerning rumored deals and one interesting rumor about Kobe Bean Bryant in today’s rumor roundup.

No Derrick Williams Trade Request, Yet

It’s too early to call Derrick Williams a bust, but it’s safe to say he’s not living up to the expectations the Minnesota Timberwolves had for him when they selected him No. 2 overall in last year’s draft.

Williams’ agent, Rob Pelinka, is reportedly upset about the lack of playing time his client is getting and feels that is hindering his development into a capable NBA player.

Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN found that the agent made it clear to the team that unless something changes, a trade request will come in the near future.

Williams has been buried on the bench since Kevin Love returned from injury, and the undersized power forward has been involved in a number of trade rumors—most recently as part of a package for Pau Gasol, which the Minnesota brass later denied.

It’ll be interesting to see if coach Rick Adelman is able to work Williams into his rotation, or if he keeps him glued to the bench over these next few weeks. It won’t be a stretch to find the sulking Williams is looking for a new home by February’s deadline.

Kings Willing to Blow It Up

The Sacramento Kings have been one of the most pitiful franchises in the league over the past few years, and they are off to another miserable 6-12 start in 2012-13.

Sam Amico of FOX Sports Ohio has found that the organization—chock full of young, talented former lottery picks—is open to make moves in order to start fresh.

Kings are very open to moving some of their nice young pieces. Willing trade partner with assets.

As it stands, Sacramento’s roster is poorly built and has far too many players that need touches to make an impact. There aren’t enough role players that can make a difference without the rock, and the offense often grows stagnant and the defense falters from lack of effort.

It’s an absolute mess of a franchise and rumors continue to swirl that the team will relocate as ticket sales remain in the dumps.

Don’t be shocked to see the Kings sell off a number of high-potential players for picks and other considerations this season.

The Black Mamba’s Master Plan

Kobe Bryant wasn’t content with the Los Angeles Lakers reloading this summer in order to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder. He reportedly wanted to destroy the West’s reigning champions from the inside out.

As per ESPN’s Ric Bucher, the Black Mamba used Olympic practices to rile up Russell Westbrook and try to make him believe that he was the best player on OKC’s roster, not teammate Kevin Durant.

It obviously failed to work, as the Thunder are off to a 16-4 start and demolished the 9-11 Lakers on Friday night in their first meeting of the season.

However, you can’t fault Bryant for trying, as there has been tons of talk over the past few years that Westbrook and Durant’s styles would eventually clash so much on the court that one would need to be traded.
