The NFL announced their first set of scheduled matchups for the 2009 season today, including the specially-scheduled season openers and Thanksgiving Day lineup.

NBC's Sunday Night Primetime extravaganza will feature the Chicago Bears traveling up to Green Bay to face the Packers at Lambeau Field.  Both teams will be looking to make a fresh start after disappointing 2008 campaigns.

Green Bay will also travel to Detroit for one of three Thanksgiving Day games.

A complete NFL schedule for the upcoming season will be released in April.
