8:30PM EST December 6. 2012 - Michigan State athletics director Mark Hollis says he's a pretty conservative person, but he knows he's also certainly earned his reputation as a "mad scientist."
In 2011, he took the Spartans basketball team to San Diego to open their season aboard the USS Carl Vinson, the first college basketball game on an aircraft carrier. Last month, Michigan State opened its season at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
