NBA Players Getting by on Reputation Alone

JR Jackson@@JRSportBriefAnalyst IDecember 7, 2012

NBA players spend their life trying to get noticed by coaches and scouts so that they can one day fulfill their dream of playing in the NBA. The combination of skill and hard work pave the way for players to eventually collect a paycheck from the National Basketball Association.

But once they are at the top, some players are valued higher because of what they have done in the past versus their actual performance on the court. Past experience clouds the fans' view of some players because of their collective reputation around the league.

NBA Analyst JR Jackson and Assistant NBA Editor Ethan Norof tackle the question about which players are scraping by this season just on their reputation.

NBA statistics are current as of Dec. 6.
