Angels 'Prepared' to Move on Without Greinke

Zack Greinke is going to have to be pulling on another team’s jersey before Jerry Dipoto is willing to publicly say that the Angels are out of the race to retain his services, but the Angels general manager sure sounded like a man content to take what he’s got to spring training. Asked this morning if he is ready to move on without Greinke, Dipoto said: “We are prepared to. You have to make smart decisions.” Dipoto spoke repeatedly about being “smart” and “practical,” and about having a staff that is “stable.” He’s rebuilt the pitching staff over the past two weeks with additions of Tommy Hanson, Ryan Madson, Sean Burnett and Joe Blanton, the last two of which won’t be officially signed until they pass physicals...
