So it wasn't the greatest weekend to be a Wolverine fan. Michigan got muscled out of the Oklahoma game by the entire Griffin family and the Michigan hockey team lost in the CCHA finals to Notre Dame.

The good news is that Michigan got a No. 1 Seed in the NCAA Hockey Tournament and the Michigan Basketball Team really over achieved this year. With most of the team back next year and a good recruiting class coming in, this program looks to be in good shape for the future.

Of course, Spring football practice is underway and there was plenty of news to be found:

  • Steve Schilling was at right guard during Saturday’s practice. Steve has been playing tackle that last two years. RR believes Steve will stay at guard.
  • Jack Kennedy is a freshman walk-on from Walled Lake Central High School. He took a couple snaps at QB on Saturday. There was no comment on Jack's future Presidential intentions.
  • 2010 recruits everywhere: It seems Michigan had a number of top recruits in town this weekend to witness practice including the No. 1 Recruit in the nation offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson, No. 1 ranked recruit in Michigan DE William Gholston, DB Cullen Christian, LB Caleb Lavey, and OT Skyler Schofner.
  • Defensive end Adam Patterson was granted his medical waiver for last season. Adam will be a Senior with Junior eligibility.
  • Both DeShawn Sims and Manny Harris have said they will be back next year for their Senior and Junior years.
  • RR is adding some flair to the Spring Game. There will be an alumni flag football game and fans can take a tour of the Michigan locker room, set up to look actually as it would before a game. RR is hoping to beat Alabama's record of 92,000 fans for a Spring Game.
