After two marathon-like days of negotiations that stretched well into the early-morning hours, there is reason for optimism on Day 82 of the NHL lockout.

As we approach the "11th hour" in an attempt to save the NHL season, both the NHL and NHLPA seem to be putting forth their best efforts at consummating a deal that would ensure a 2012-13 season.

Both sides are expected to meet again on Thursday (Day 82 of the lockout), and many signs point to a deal being made.
