New York Knicks vs. Charlotte Bobcats 12/5/12: Video Highlights and Recap

Richard Langford@@noontide34Correspondent IDecember 6, 2012

Following an ill-advised pass by Bobcats rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist that led to a turnover, J.R. Smith hit a fadeaway, mid-range jumper with time expiring to give the New York Knicks a 100-98 victory.

And all of that transpired with Carmelo Anthony on the bench. Melo missed the final 2:10 of the game after cutting his finger. Anthony went for 23 points before leaving with his injury.

This game was tight throughout, and the Knicks outscored the Bobcats by five in the fourth to steal the win.

This was a nice road win for the 13-4 Knicks, all four of their losses have come on the road. The loss knocks the Bobcats to 7-10.

Check out the box score here.

Player of the Game: Tyson Chandler

Chandler was a monster in this game. He grabbed 17 boards, had two assists, a block and a steal while also adding 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting.

What's Next

This was the first of a three-game road trip for the Knicks. They will face the Heat on Thursday before travelling to take on the Bulls on Saturday.

The Bobcats will hit the road to take on the Bucks on Friday and then host the Spurs on Saturday.
