The Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed to terms with free-agent third baseman Eric Chavez on a one-year, $3 million deal, reports CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman.
Chavez, 34, hit .281/.348/.496 with 16 homers in only 278 at-bats last season for the Yankees.
